This piece was made with acrylic and gouache paints. The somber mood of this painting reflects how misconception we hold in everyone and everything. The old saying is true - don't judge a book by its cover. While painting this I was not in fact blue, but rather joyous and happy. My blue tone is misleading and is a cause for concern when first looked at. I wanted to show how we carry ourselves and why we need to express our emotions. Had I looked like I felt, the empty stare would be filled with light and by blue tone would be far more colorful. We as people shouldn't be quick to judge, but we need to show how we feel as to not mislead anyone.
